Things are getting a little out of hand with regards to my adventures in text adventures. What started with a ten-minute parody I expected precisely one person to laugh at has ballooned into a fifteen-minute masterpiece that at least one person has written a scathing review of. It’s more than I could ever have hoped for.
So, in an attempt to kill it, here is You Have To BURN ROPE WITH TORCH v1.0, a loving tribute to the 2008 Indie Game Of The Year, You Have To Burn The Rope. If you’ve been following it through beta - and let’s face it, who hasn’t - then here’s the changelog:
- Now supports fire axes at [something] and simply fire axes. Feel free to intimidate friends and foe alike with your new skill!
- Long-awaited support for burn the rope is now in! Even though I changed the name to accomodate my weak design!
- You can now jump up from the starting location.
- Some exploits fixed (a bug occurred which allowed players to spawn MG Teams)
- Axe damage reduced from 0.5 to 0.
- Grinning Colossus respawn time increased from 80 to ∞
- Performance bug fixed for GeForce 6* series cards.
Download the update here. Once again, Windows players can get an interpreter here. Linux and Mac users can get their own interpreters, but for some reason this morning I cannot find them. Maybe for the sequel, eh?
Goodnight, internet!
